Name: 8th Annual Holiday Canned Food Drive
    Date: November 22, 2014
    Event Description:

High Plains Harley Davidson will partner with the Food Bank of Eastern New Mexico for their annual Holiday Food Drive in Clovis. Residents are encouraged to leave food in a sack by their curb for pickup.

“By simply leaving a few cans curbside for us to pick up you can easily help a family have a better holiday,” said Food Bank Executive Director Dianna Hernandez.

This year’s  Food Drive will be Saturday, November 22 from 8 a.m. until around 2 p.m.

Harley Riders Clubs will meet at High Plains Harley Davidson, 4400 Mabry Drive, Clovis, and ride to the Food Bank for a traditional send-off ride through the warehouse. From the warehouse, motorcyclists will ride to Java Loft at 810 E. 21st, Clovis to receive street assignments and maps. Riders will depart from Java loft at 10 a.m  to pick up donated foods and return them to Nancy’s Truck, parked at the Master’s Center parking lot.

When food runs are completed, riders will return to High Plains Harley Davidson for an end of run celebration. Every year Harley Davidson Riders Clubs bring in thousands of pounds of canned and shelf-stable foods to help feed the hungry for the holidays.
