Eastern New Mexico University Department of Anthropology and Applied Archaeology announces the 24th annual Cynthia Irwin-Williams Lectureship at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6. Dr. Barbara Mills, Regents’ Professor of Anthropology at the University of Arizona, will give a presentation titled “From Frontier to Center Place: The Dynamic Trajectory of the Chaco World”. She will discuss the development of Chaco Canyon and its complex social network, highlighting the complementary roles of population growth, migration, social heterogeneity, inequality, ritual craft specialization and multiscale social networks.
