    There's nothing more exciting than the blistering pace of the Great American Turtle Race at the Curry County Fair. Races begin at 9 a.m. MDT on Saturday, August 16 in the Kevin Roberts Arena with cash prizes and trophies to winners. Turtle registration takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. MDT Wednesday, August 13 through Friday, August 15 at Plateau, 2701 N. Prince Clovis, N.M.
