LINCOLN - The Early Years is a live, one-man show of our 16th President that continues to tour throughout the United States The show tells the story of Lincoln's formative years leading up to his election as President in his own words and the words of those who knew him well. Audiences also see the sights and hear the sounds of the people and the places where Lincoln walked and talked. Period costuming, props and furniture pieces populate the stage in this highly entertaining and informative, live stage presentation.
About The Artist: Patrick McCreary is a professional actor, writer and director. His work includes network television, The History Channel, PBS, NPR and on stages throughout the world. He has portrayed Lincoln for over thirty years. He has performed for three other Presidents of the United States: Carter, Reagan and Bush ’41. McCreary is the same weight and size as the former President with his clothing, shoes and hat made from patterns used by Lincoln. McCreary is also currently on the theatre faculty at ENMU, Portales.
